Prompt from Julia, “I want you to choose a favourite carol and re-write it with the theme of a Christmas Dinner.”

After several false starts . . . Jingle Bells (replaced by Brussel sprouts!) and mixed results with In the Bleak Mid-Winter, I have settled for O Come All Ye Faithful!  It works for me!! You may just have to vary how many syllables you allocate/hang on to each word! I have returned to the original version for last verse, enjoy!

O come all ye vegetables

Healthy and organic

O come ye, o come ye to dinner time

Come and fill us

Hungry and expectant

O come, let us enjoy you

O come, let us enjoy you

O come, let us enjoy you

For our good health

Beef, ham or turkey

Served with gravy

O come ye, o come ye to dinner time

Come and feed us

Hungry and expectant

O come let us enjoy you

O come let us enjoy you

O come let us enjoy you

For our good health

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee

Born this happy morning

Jesus, to Thee be all glory given

Word of the Father Now in flesh appearing

Come, let us adore Him

Come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him Christ, the Lord

O come, let us adore Him Christ, the Lord
