Entry 2 #100WCGU, in 50 words this week . . . (so I have gone for 2 posts = 100 words!)
Reflected in the water, catch by the camera’s lens, an image of autumn in Sussex. The natural phenomena of the tumbling warm shades of colours in the autumn leaves as the seasons change. Dreams of summer fulfilled or discarded as the image of sitting by a warm fire in winter takes centre stage.

Clever you, getting two done so quickly. Beautifully written and what a gorgeous photo to go with it, Is it one of your own?
gsussex said:
Thank you Sally-Jayne, you were quick off the mark too! It just depends when I get ideas for what I am going to write. Yes, one of my photos, photography is my hobby.
Sally-Jayne said:
It’s one of the nicest photos I’ve seen. You obviously have a talent for that as well as writing.
gsussex said:
Thank you, you are very kind Sally-Jayne. The quality here is way down on the original.

Funny isn’t it? Autumn leaves are seen and our whole atmospheric life does an about face from summer to winter. Lovely observation.

Autumn always seems brief to me but probably it is longer than i think . . . Thanks, yes I wished to communicate links between the seasons/the passing of time.

Did you take that photo? How brilliant. I love the words that go with it to. Gentle and reassuring as we go through the year. I found all that hot weather in October quite unsettling so this piece very settling! Thanks Gill!

Yes one of my photos. Had a problem with jpeg size so had to load on computer and photograph again, from the screen, with my phone! I am sure there is a way around this problem . . . Thought I would go for a less factual angle with this piece. I think there will be a lot of entries to this prompt.

Beautiful words and a stunning photograph to go with it. I have never visited Sheffield Park, despite living most of my life in Sussex! From your photograph, it looks like maybe I should.
gsussex said:
It’s certainly worth a visit as the colours change. Popular too as pretty flat making it accessible to all ages. If you are wanting a long walk it’s a little limiting, but as I say a popular place.
